What is a Fripple?

Hey lads. I'm Stina. As easy (and boring) as that, two syllables, no funny little twist.
Behind the extraordinary, exotic name hides a restless  lady from the Northern woods.

This is presumably the 5th blog I'm starting up, and so far I never managed to keep' 'em running for more than half a year or so, but this time I'm expecting myself to be better than that.
- Ok bird, we've heard this one before, to be honest it goes in one ear, out the other. Tell us something we didn't know! Like what on earth a Fripple is?
Sure, I'd be more than delighted to solve this mystery for you already from the start. A Fripple is a very 2-dimensional tiny animal that used to figure in computer games for kids in the mid 90's. The decade in which I happened to grew up. They all look something similar to this:

Their problem is that they're lost. Your mission is to help them find their homes, by following directions connected to their appearances. "Green with stripes" goes in this box, his neighbor with a big nose goes to the right of him, and they all end up happy, jumping and babbling,
knit together by your intelligent, well measured mouse moves...
Well, if only it was this easy. I believe myself to be one of these Fripples, lost in space due to the fact that I have not yet sorted my appearance out...
